Brian Fish has a broad and comprehensive career history in the Transport and Logistics sector. A Chartered Accountant by profession, he has held the posts of Managing Director of Joseph Fish & Sons Limited, a general haulier specialising in container traffics, and Director of both Dart Containerline and Containercare Limited. He founded DFF with Gordon Fisher in 1982.
Brian has been responsible for successful consultancy projects in the areas of transport operations with efficiency and cost as objectives. The majority of new projects come from clients who either use or provide transport services.
Of particular interest to Brian is the financial aspect of Logistics. He is the author of a Digest on Vehicle Management and Financing commissioned by the Institute of Chartered Accountants and he has been a member since its inception of the Road Haulage Association’s (RHA) Working Party with responsibility for costs. He has ongoing responsibility for the annual publication of the DFF Tables of Commercial Vehicle Operating Costs , commissioned by the RHA.
Brian is a registered Expert Witness in Logistics and Transport and is regularly called to act in the unfortunate situation when disputes end up in litigation.
