The directors of DFF have worked with the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) and its various predecessors in the area of professional development for many years. DFF is an Approved Training Centre of the CILT and is actively engaged in the development and delivery of distance learning, workplace and classroom based training programmes and assessment strategies that lead to the award of the Introductory Certificate, Certificate and Professional Diploma in Logistics and Transport for corporate clients and individuals both in the UK and overseas.
CILT professional qualification standards have been developed in partnership with industry, as a result they have a strong emphasis on practical experience. Assessment routes for the awards include both knowledge (examination) and competence (portfolio) alternatives. All CILT qualifications are accredited by a UK Government body and internationally recognised.
Students successfully completing the appropriate units at Certificate and Professional Diploma levels are eligible for the National or International Certificate of Professional Competence exemption and European Certification Board for Logistics Accreditation.
DFF and its directors have been responsible for the development and delivery of a number of programmes that are accredited by CILT and academic institutions. Current such programmes include the United Nations Certificate and Diploma courses in Transport Management accredited by CILT and the Institute of Car Fleet Management Diploma accredited by Loughborough University Business School.
