James Oliver started his career supporting Geographical Information Systems (GIS), before moving to research appointments in decision making with GIS, at the University of Salford and Manchester Metropolitan University respectively.
He returned to the commercial world as sales manager for a Canadian GIS software developer, before moving on as sales manager for a company specialising in GIS, Geographic data and Truck Routing and Scheduling Systems.
He then joined a Logistics consultancy practice as a senior consultant based within the transport department. He worked on many logistics strategy and transport projects, in the UK, Europe and South America.
James is currently an associate of a number of Consultancy practices, working on all manner of projects from analytical and modeling, strategic, through to project management and implementation. He has recently completed project management assignments with two UK PLCs. From his wide-ranging experience, he has gained a substantial background in the development and implementation of logistics solutions in a wide range of commercial areas.
