Simulation, Modelling and Facilities Design

DFF consider the provision of specialist support services, using computer modelling, is fundamental to problem solving and essentially supports the confirmation of recommendations arising from and during our project work.

The necessary tools to support empirical, stochastic, heuristic and discrete event simulation, together with computer aided design(CAD), form a part of our portfolio of proprietary software.

Stochastic methods enable irregular events to be forecast and form part of the techniques employed in inventory modelling.

Heuristic modelling forms the basis of vehicle scheduling software and, together with discrete event simulation, is employed in supply chain modelling. Discrete event simulation is also fundamental to the evaluation of facilities and physical resource proposals, particularly in manufacturing and warehouse layouts and similar projects.

All layout and facilities proposals will be eventually prepared with the benefit of CAD software.
